Hospice Care

At Advantage Private Home Care, we have a special understanding of the needs of patients and families receiving hospice care. Our certified, experienced nursing assistants are trained specifically in hospice and palliative care so they can help people live their best quality of life.

Extra Care for Hospice Patients and Families Who Need More

Families and caregivers often become overwhelmed by their roles in caring for ailing loved ones while managing their household.  Some patients may not have a large network of family and friends who can provide even a small amount of care.  Even with the presence of the medical, emotional and spiritual care that hospice can provide at home, people often need more support.

Our Certified Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to help patients and their families who need more support.

Advantage is uniquely qualified to support hospice services and patients at the end of life.

Our Certified Nursing Assistants approved by the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry through the Georgia Department of Community Health Advantage has Registered Nurses assigned to every patient to oversee care.

This special time requires more than special training. It requires a real heart for caring and a unique understanding of this important part of life. That’s just what Advantage Private Home Care delivers.

We understand what hospice care means to patients and their families, and how hospice workers help them live the best quality of life they can and support their end-of-life wishes. At Advantage Private Healthcare, our caregivers are trained to support hospice patients and their families to ensure they have access to care that is specific to their needs. We share a common goal: to allow people to remain at home.

Personal Care & Companionship

Home health is not just for the elderly or those recovering from surgery or an illness. This is a misconception for many people. You think because the person can get out of bed and do things for themselves that they don’t qualify or need home health assistance. Sometimes you just need an extra person to be there, for the ‘just in case’ moment something happens. Personal care and companionship is about peace of mind, so that you know your loved one is safe and well cared for even when you are not there.

Hospice Care

Hospice Care is an emotional time for many families. It’s not just the client that needs care and consideration at this time, but the family unit as well. Advantage Private Home Care is particularly sensitive to the family’s well being as well as the clients. Our Hospice caregivers have the experience and training to handle their hospice families with sensitivity and care.

Household Care

Everyone wants their loved one living in a clean home, but for many elderly and disabled people maintaining a household can be overwhelming. Basic cleaning like washing dishes or changing the linens on their bed can put your loved one at risk. Advantage Private Home Care Personal Caregivers are trained to do light house keeping chores such as cleaning dishes, vacuuming and laundry to name just a few. Keeping a home clutter free and laundry clean also helps the client to feel better and unencumbered by household chores.

Transportation

Getting your loved one to and from appointments can be disruptive to your workday. For many family caretakers it can cause issues with their employers. Having a reliable way to get your loved one to their medical appointments or just out to do groceries is a burden off your shoulders and peace of mind for the family at large. Keeping your loved one connected and engaged with the community means a better quality of life for them and an ease of mind for you. Our caregivers are trusted escorts and ensure safe travels for your loved ones.
