Personal Care & Companionship
Home health is not just for the elderly or those recovering from surgery or an illness. This is a misconception for many people. You think because the person can get out of bed and do things for themselves that they don’t qualify or need home health assistance. Sometimes you just need an extra person to be there, for the ‘just in case’ moment something happens. Personal care and companionship is about peace of mind, so that you know your loved one is safe and well cared for even when you are not there.
Hospice Care
Hospice Care is an emotional time for many families. It’s not just the client that needs care and consideration at this time, but the family unit as well. Advantage Private Home Care is particularly sensitive to the family’s well being as well as the clients. Our Hospice caregivers have the experience and training to handle their hospice families with sensitivity and care.
Household Care
Everyone wants their loved one living in a clean home, but for many elderly and disabled people maintaining a household can be overwhelming. Basic cleaning like washing dishes or changing the linens on their bed can put your loved one at risk. Advantage Private Home Care Personal Caregivers are trained to do light house keeping chores such as cleaning dishes, vacuuming and laundry to name just a few. Keeping a home clutter free and laundry clean also helps the client to feel better and unencumbered by household chores.
Transportation
Getting your loved one to and from appointments can be disruptive to your workday. For many family caretakers it can cause issues with their employers. Having a reliable way to get your loved one to their medical appointments or just out to do groceries is a burden off your shoulders and peace of mind for the family at large. Keeping your loved one connected and engaged with the community means a better quality of life for them and an ease of mind for you. Our caregivers are trusted escorts and ensure safe travels for your loved ones.

Our Process
Initial In-home Meeting for Assessment & Family Plan Creation
We take the time to come to the home and assess the needs of the family and the client. The visit gives us the opportunity to speak with the family and to discuss types of care the family might not have considered. This is complimentary and a crucial part of our success if applicable. We love meeting our families in person when possible.
In-home Nurse Evaluation & Plan
Advantage will send a Registered Nurse to review the client’s health diagnosis and needs. We will confirm a list of all medications that the client is taking. We will create a checklist of the tasks that the client needs assistance with as well as doing a basic check of the client’s well-being at the time of the visit.
Match with a Caregiver
When you allow someone into your home as a caregiver, it is so very important that there be a good match of personalities between the caregiver and the client. We take this step very seriously and consider both the client’s personality and the personality of the caregiver. They will be spending a lot of time together after all. We also focus on the client’s medical diagnosis and choose caregivers that have experience assisting families with this specific diagnosis. We do strive for continuity of care.
Start Service
When services begin, Advantage Private Home Care is going to call the day of service to see how things are going. We want to know that our caregiver arrived at the appointed time and was well prepared to provide the assistance needed that day. We also share access to an on-line web portal that you and your family can review for scheduling or any comments about care that can be shared.
Follow Up & Re-evaluate if Needed
Clients needs change and situations change all the time. We understand this and strive to keep everyone happy and content with our services. On our follow up calls, we want to know and will ask how you liked your caregiver and if there were any problems during the day. If things didn’t go as planned, we will discuss if you would like another caregiver to be assigned or if your situation has changed and you need a different type of service, we will assist with that as well.
Don’t Have Time for the Process?
We understand sometimes you need immediate care. We are always here to help.
